This Cookie Policy explains, plainly, the small text files our site places on your device when you visit, why we use them, and the choices you have. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

In short: we use a small number of cookies to make oyatees.org work and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use it. We do not use cookies for advertising or for cross-site tracking. You can accept or decline our analytics cookies through the cookie banner — and change your mind at any time.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer, phone, or tablet when you visit a website. Cookies let a site recognise your device on later visits, remember your preferences, and produce statistics about how the site is used. Similar tools — such as web beacons, pixels, or local storage — can do comparable things; in this policy we use the word “cookies” to cover all of them.

We use cookies in two categories: strictly necessary cookies, which are needed to deliver the site, and analytics cookies, which help us understand how the site is being used. We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, social-media tracking, or profiling.

The current cookies we and our service providers set on the site are:

• Strictly necessary cookies (set by Oya / GoDaddy). Keep the site running, remember your cookie choices, and protect against common security risks. Lifetime: session, or up to 12 months.
• Cookie-consent record (set by Oya / GoDaddy). Remembers whether you accepted or declined our analytics cookies, so we don’t ask you again on every page. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
• Analytics — GoDaddy Website Builder (set by GoDaddy.com, LLC). Counts visits and produces aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how visitors find and use the site. Set only if you click Accept. Lifetime: up to 13 months.

Cookie names and durations may change as GoDaddy updates the Website Builder. You can ask for the current list at any time by writing to info@oyatees.org.

When donation functionality is launched, additional cookies may be set by the payment service providers we use (currently expected to be PayPal and TWINT). This policy will be updated at that point to identify them.

Some pages on the site may include content hosted by third parties — for example, embedded videos, maps, or social-media buttons. Those third parties may set their own cookies when you interact with that content. We do not control those cookies, and the third parties’ own privacy and cookie notices apply. We try to keep this kind of embedded content to a minimum.

You can accept or decline our analytics cookies through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. We do not set analytics cookies until you click Accept. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of the site.

You can also change your cookie choices by:

• clearing the site’s cookies in your browser, which will trigger the banner again on your next visit;
• adjusting the cookie settings in your browser to block or delete cookies generally — most browsers offer guidance under their Help menu; or
• installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, if you would prefer that no analytics data is sent for any site you visit.
• Disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in technology, or in the law. The “Last updated” date at the foot of this policy will tell you when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
