Every country on Earth has a threatened plant that almost nobody knows about — a scientific name and a conservation status, but no face, no story, and no global audience. The Oya Country Project sets out to change that. We are working towards partnerships with botanical gardens around the world to identify one threatened plant per country, commission an original artwork through a free and open international art competition, and share that plant’s story with the world. Funds raised will support both the partner garden’s research and Oya’s ongoing work.
One country. One plant. One artist. A plant the world will know.
First country partnerships coming soon.
